Plastic is the most widely used material for creating product identification, safety signage and large format graphic displays. Plastic comes in many different substrates. The most common printable substrates are polyesters, polycarbonates, polypropylenes, vinyl’s, acrylics and laminated plastics. Though the process of screen printing, UV printing, digital printing or engraving, we can create your graphic requirements. The benefit of using plastics is that it can be chemical and abrasive resistant, UV prohibiting, and withstand calculated environmental elements such as temperature, wind, water, fire, and seasonal climate changes. With advancements in adhesive technology, we can apply a wide variety of adhesives to affix your substrate to a working any surface. Special top surface coating offer a UV, scratch, graffiti, and flame resistance to most of the plastic materials.

Materials – Best Use

Acrylic – common trade names are Optix, Plexiglas, Lucite, and Acrylite. This plastic is hard, transparent and can be made to be shatterproof or scratch resistant. The material is used in graphic panels, trade show displays, and engraved nameplates. UV and Screen Print process are used to create graphic images. Acrylic is available in clear, transparent, and solid colors.

Polyester, PET-G and Mylar Films – common trade names are Melinex and DuPont. This plastic offers a less forgiving, strong, shrink resistant quality to a clear, crisp graphic visual presentation. This material comes in clear, matte, textured and UV & scratch resistant. Material thicknesses offered: .001” – .010” (Inches)

Polycarbonate – common trade names are Lexan, Makrolon. The material is one of the most widely used substrate to create tags, labels, name plates, placards, and signage. It offers a rigid, smooth surface with durability, shatterproof, transparent alternative to acrylic and polyester. Vinyl, Static Cling Films – If you are looking for flexibility, you just found it. This material is used in applications that require your label to be affix to uneven surfaces or contoured. Vinyl is waterproof and easy to clean. This substrate is used in self-adhesive labels, signage, banners, vehicle wraps, and decals. When applying an over laminate, you can provide additional surface protection. Material thicknesses offered: 1.5 mil – 7.5 mil (Inches, 1000)

Static Cling films are used in vinyl application where you need to adhere to clean, smooth surfaces with removable results. This material is applicable to glass, wood, other plastics, and metal. This material is great for window graphics decals and sticker.

Laminated plastics – This unique plastic is made of superposed layers /plies of plastic substrates. Depending on the manufacture, these layers are composed of acrylic, polyesters, polycarbonates and plastic fabrics. Special resin or epoxy laminates all layers together to form industry standard thickness. Laminated plastics are mostly engraved to certain depth to create multi layered tags with color definition.
