Plastic Nameplates

Materials used in Plastic Nameplate Production:

Polycarbonate: Polycarbonate has excellent clarity, stability, heat resistance, impact strength, printing and die cutting characteristics with good abrasion and stain resistance. Polycarbonate identification products are screen or digitally printed on the reverse side to add protection to your graphics and text. Polycarbonate material can be used for a variety of applications, tags, panels, overlays, etc…in clear, matte and velvet textures.
ardcoat is available for maximum chemical and abrasion resistance.

Polyester: A strong material that will generally not shrink or tear easily. Polyester will not conform to irregular surfaces but offers very good heat resistance and dimensional stability (no stretching or shrinking). Polyester also has strong abrasion and chemical resistance when reverse printed. Hardcoat is available for maximum chemical and abrasion resistance.

Reflective Vinyl Film: A vinyl film with very small glass or glass-like materials encapsulated below its surface, creating a reflective look. The appearance is similar in daylight or at night. It has a very good outdoor life endurance and retains 90% of its reflective properties when wet.

Vinyl: PVC or Vinyl, is the most common plastic used in the world. PVC is available in a variety of colors and thicknesses and is weather and chemical resistant. Vinyl film is typically backed with a pressure sensitive adhesive that will create a strong bond when pressure is applied.

Best Usage for Plastic Nameplates

Plastic nameplates are produced primarily for indoor use, but because of the durable polycarbonate or polyester materials used in their manufacturing, can be used for industrial applications. Our plastic name plates are "hard coated" to withstand abrasion, scratches or reactions to solvents and detergents.

Color Capabilties

Need color on your plastic nameplates? Multi-colored graphics are silk-screened on the reverse side for protection by the thickness of the transparent plastic. Some plastic nameplates are surface printed for brighter, sharper graphics, the printing then is protected by a thin film of Mylar. We can screen print or imprint on our high-speed digital printer. Plastic can also be embossed like metal, for a more attractive three dimensional effect than flat nameplates and decals. We can produce plastic nameplates with adhesive backings for uses limited only by your imagination.
